Safe Travel and Arrival

We had a long but safe travel day and arrived in Choluteca about 6:00 p.m.  Lots of changes for the good here but more about that later.  We met Egla and Jose (new staff), and will meet Pastor G who is the new job foreman tomorrow. Orifilio now works with us on the job site.  Joyous reunion with him.  Pizza from Pizza Hut.  Bobo has kicked Jose out of "Bob's" bunk!  Unbelievable.  He says its ok because he gave Jose the top bunk and "lifted him up."  Please pray for him.  Just pray for him.

Things to look forward to this week:  Rosa will fix us iguana soup (you guys and girls who have been here know about the great lizards they sell on the side of the road); lots of pictures of the worksite; the new team; working with Mike and Ginger; hard work; hard laughter; tears of God.

Moving devotional tonight.  John 1:35-51; Galatians 1:1-2.  Played "The Voice of Truth", Jeremy.  Talked about looking for Jesus and following Him as we work this week.  Watchwords are "Come and see."  We all sang "I Have Decided to Follow Jesus" and then Jose asked to sing it for us in Spanish.  Bob and Egla led us in a chorus of "Alleluia".

Our closing prayer:

Lord, you called me.  I want all that you have for me.  Do your work in me. (repeat twice)

Lord, when one of us hungers, make it our instinct to feed.  When one of us is displaced, make it our instinct to share our home.  When one of us is called illegal, make it our instinct to advocate for our sister's rights.  May we find our peace in the peace of the places to which you have called us.

May the peace of the Lord Christ go with you :  wherever He may send you;
may He guide you through the wilderness : protect you through the storm;
may He bring you home rejoicing : at the wonders He has shown you;
may He bring you home rejoicing : once again into our doors.

That strong, smooth El Indio coffee is loaded in the coffee pot ready to go;  Bob's guitar is ready for an early morning rendition of his original hit "Buenas Dias, Honduras!"; the foundation is laid and waiting;  the materials will be delivered at 7:30 a.m.; and we are fired up and ready to go!  See you tomorrow and we will post pictures!
